Contrary to our assessments (report from May 5th), Elton reported after another inspection on Sunday (May 14th) that flower buds have developed and are still developing on some groves! This is particularly the case on the groves “Monolos” and “Voulgaraki”, which was added to the project this year!

Now there is a glimmer of hope where there was only gloomy despair. But also new fear; because summer is really just around the corner and when the temperatures rise, the trees should already bear fruit and no longer flowers, especially since those are particularly sensitive to heat.
