Dear Friends,
The harvest date cannot be predicted far in advance. Last week (9th of October), the fields were inspected again. The fruits were large and strong, and although they had not yet reached the desired maturity, they were already juicy. All that was missing was a good rain to get the trees ready for the finale! And indeed, the long-awaited rain came last weekend and especially in the night of 11th to 12th of October, when a heavy thunderstorm was followed by a long rain!
Therefore, we can now set the target date for the harvest on the 28th of October 2021. Since olives must be harvested dry the actual harvest date will depend on weather conditions. It is therefore possible that the harvest takes place a little earlier or later. We would be delighted to welcome you to the fields and to join in the work!
