Our summer competition has officially come to an end!
Once again, we had some fantastic entries from various parts of Greece but also from abroad!
Thank you for all your kind words! We hope you had fun — and maybe even learned a thing or two along the way.
This year’s grand winner is Ms. Danai Karkali.
Her truly stunning photograph from Vrysochori, Zagori, won the popular vote among those who took part in our “Out to the Fields” event on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

We received lots of great and encouraging feedback from many of you who joined in — thank you so much!
Of course, there were also a few complaints: for example, that “the hen won’t pose for a photo” or — and this one actually concerned us — that some of you couldn’t even find a hen! Is the humble backyard chicken becoming an endangered species?
A warm thank-you to everyone who contributed to the organization and success of this year’s competition — to those who spread the word, hosted our little poster in their shops, and, of course, to all who took part!
