It has been a month since our last report. Unfortunately, the long-awaited rain – except for a minor shower – did not occur; It should give the trees and the fruits a good boost. But we can no longer wait for the rain, especially since there is no rain in sight. On the one hand, the fruits now have the right maturity – it is important that the olives are harvested as long as they are still green or green -yellow – and on the other hand, the continuing drought could force the trees to withdraw the fluids from the fruits and use them elsewhere.
During the visit to the groves on October 20th, it was therefore decided with Elton, our producer, that harvest commences on Tuesday, October 22nd!
We would have loved to have you, as in previous years, at the harvest for our oil “ΤΡΑΓΟΣ”, but this year it was impossible to plan and announce our “Harvest Days” in good time.
Still, from October 22nd and for as long as there are olives on the trees, Elton and Panos will be on the groves harvesting! If you want to stop by during this time and possibly help some too, you are cordially invited. Please write to us directly (info@tragos.gr).
