Status update!

Branches full of fresh, robust fruit. If only all trees would look like that!

The last few weeks have been cooler and rainier. However, this time too there was no rain; Only on some days a few raindrops fell. Accordingly, the trees look weak and exhausted; A few trees could even be in danger and we will have to monitor these more closely with Elton until the first rain.

But the trees that bear fruit seem to be holding out well. Their foliage is still dark green and their fruits are fresh and robust.

The fruits only grow slowly because they lack the necessary moisture. The efficiency with which the tree “manages” the available moisture is probably a small “miracle of nature”.

Based on the current state of ripeness of the fruit, it seems likely that the harvest will take place in the last days of October. But, it’s not certain yet and we have to wait for the rain. If it gets warm again after the rain, the fruit could ripen quickly. In any case, we’ll keep you up to date!
