It\u2019s mid-June. The grasses and flowers have now dried up in the fields, the soil has hardened, the sun is beating down mercilessly, and the cicadas are singing non-stop… It\u2019s definitely summer, there\u2019s no doubt about it.<\/p>

As it\u2019s been about a month since the peak of flowering, this is the ideal time to observe how well the trees have set fruit. It\u2019s also an important period to regularly inspect the condition of the trees, so that timely measures can be taken\u2014such as foliar feeding with amino acids\u2014if signs of water stress are detected.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With great joy\u2014and perhaps a bit of excitement\u2014we observed during our visit to the olive groves on June 17th, 2025, that the majority, maybe 60\u201370%, of the trees under our Aegis<\/u><\/a> are bearing fruit very satisfactorily! The remaining trees are also fruiting, but to a lesser extent. It seems the early summer heatwaves damaged the blooms of the trees that flowered later.<\/p>

Nonetheless, the overall condition of the trees is excellent! Besides the favorable weather, it\u2019s clear that Elton\u2019s good care played a significant role. We believe that the timing of the pruning was particularly important: having completed pruning in the autumn, the trees were able to take advantage of the first rains to “heal their wounds” and the following ones to fuel their growth and spring flowering.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We are entering summer under the best conditions! If the weather remains favorable\u2014with mild temperatures and maybe a little rain\u2014we might witness things in our olive groves this year that we\u2019ve never seen before!<\/p>
