At the last inspection (April 15th, 2022) we noticed that the trees were in a good condition and were bearing well. At that point, it was not yet possible to tell which buds would turn into flowers and which would turn into leaves.<\/p>

But in spring time, time passes quickly and our trees have transformed in these 3 weeks; to our delight, they are full of flower buds!<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We were also concerned because the ground was already dry after the winter. How can the trees bear good fruit if they can not get moisture from the ground? But this year seems to be running smoothly!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

During the last 3 weeks, sunny and cloudy, sometimes rainy, days have alternated and the ground is well soaked. The groves are fresh and lively!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On some groves, however, it has been possible to clearly see that certain trees have suffered from the January cold (please see our report from January 26th, 2022) and have lost a lot of leaves. On the remaining leaves, the “burns” caused by the frost can be seen. But even these trees are bearing flowers, although fewer!<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On some trees, the first traces of the olive tree louse were seen (for the “olive tree louse” please read our report from April 17, 2021).<\/p>


But this year it is not expected that the phenomenon will take on any greater proportions and that the lice, in view of the strong blooming of the trees, will hardly make any difference!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

So, all the omens are good for our harvest this year! Please cross your fingers for us that nothing bad will come in between. And start thinking about your travel plans for the fall; because signs are help will be needed for the harvest!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
